Fascias and soffits: a simple guide
The roofline has several parts, and the names can be confusing. This short guide helps you describe the areas you want cleaned when requesting a quote.
Which part is the fascia?
The fascia is the board along the roof edge, usually behind the guttering. It creates a visible finish at the edge of the roof. When you are discussing cleaning, describe the face of the board and any marks you can see from the ground.
Where is the soffit?
The soffit is the underside of the projecting roof edge. From below, it is the surface between the wall and the outer edge of the roofline. Some designs include ventilation openings, so the condition and construction matter when discussing suitable cleaning.
Cleaning and repair are different conversations
A surface may need a refresh, while a crack, loose section or damaged finish may need a separate assessment. Tell Anthony about anything that looks damaged as well as the areas you would like cleaned. There is no need to diagnose the problem yourself.
Make your enquiry easier
Share your postcode, the approximate size of the property and which sides of the house need attention. Mention conservatories, extensions or other access restrictions. Anthony can then discuss the work and provide a free quote.
