An autumn checklist for your roofline
A seasonal look at your home’s exterior can help you organise maintenance before little concerns are forgotten. Start with what you can see safely from the ground.
Look around the property
Walk around accessible parts of the house and look for debris at the gutter edge, changes to a downpipe, or any visible section that appears loose. Do not access a roof or lean out of a window for a better view. Note anything you would like a professional to assess.
Notice drainage during wet weather
From a safe, sheltered place, note where water appears to overflow or drip repeatedly. Is it one joint, one corner, or a longer section? These details help describe the issue, although they do not establish the cause.
Plan the work you want to discuss
Make a short list: gutter clearing, fascia and soffit cleaning, roof cleaning, or an assessment of a possible repair. You may not need every service. The right scope depends on your property and what is found during assessment.
